New Data Warehouse and Analysis Center A formal agreement has now been signed between The Society and Duke University.
The Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) is now the new Data Warehouse and Analysis center for the STS. This is a very exciting and positive development for our database participants.
Read about DCRI's history and experience in managing clinical trials and outcomes research of international scope.
Work is already proceeding at DCRI in close collaboration with STS:
- Transfer of the national databases from Summit Medical to DCRI.
- Organizing contact information for 600-700 participant sites.
- Preparing for data harvests, beginning in April 1999. In year 2000 and thereafter, there will be 2 annual harvests and reports (for the adult cardiac database), to give participants more frequent and timely feedback.
- Harvest reports are being completely redesigned. Each participating database site will receive a custom report tailored to show their own data in comparison with regional and national results.
- New risk models are being developed and reviewed.
