STS will have an evening celebration on Tuesday, January 27, 1998, that will be the closest thing possible to the real Mardi Gras. The grand ballroom at the New Orleans Hilton will be transformed into a setting for a mini Mardi Gras, exclusively for STS members and guests.

The celebration includes:

• Masks and memento doubloons for every guest
• A New Orleans police motor cycle escort to start off the parade
• A sixty piece marching band
• Mini floats fashioned after the real thing complete with STS riders throwing beads and doubloons to the crowd
• Ten foot tall "walking heads," a krewe (crew) of revelers, mimes, dancers, clowns and other characters related to the Mardi Gras
• A New Orleans Jazz Band parading with a traditional Grand Marshall
• A full stage tableau with live entertainers wearing grand costumes from the real event
• A leading local gospel choir presenting their hand clapping, toe tapping rhythms in an emotional finale to the entertainment
