Whether you are new to the STS National Database or a seasoned participant you are encouraged to attend this comprehensive full day National Data Manager's meeting. Attendees will hear from DCRI representatives and STS Database committee chairs and participate in Q&A sessions. Highlights include:

Reports

Review with us a busy first year harvest with DCRI. Particular attention will be given to the new STS National report. How has it changed? How should you review and interpret the data?

Data Specifications

Take a look at the new Adult Cardiac Data Specifications and Data Definitions. Tell us what you like, or don't like about them.

Risk Models

1999 is the first year for any valve disease models. Two models were developed, one for AVR or MVR only and another for AVR+CAB or MVR+CAB. Learn about the development of these two models by STS and the Data Coordinating Center at Duke.
