Medico-Legal Symposium

Date: Monday, January 31, 2000

Time: 5:15 pm - 8:00 pm

Cost: $40, includes dinner

With continued economic and societal changes affecting health care, it is more important than ever for surgeons to have a firm understanding of physician liability, including its relationship to new technology and the physician's role in litigation. Join us as we explore medico-legal issues involving the Internet, e-mail, telemedicine, and new instrumentation and techniques, as well as the surgeon as an expert witness.

Michael R. Lowe, Esq., will discuss the changing liability concerns that new technology has introduced into a surgeon's world. Following, listen to STS members Ronald C. Elkins and Francis L. Robiscek, with lawyers Dominic Pellegrino and Luke M. Pittoni in a lively discussion on the surgeon's role in litigation.
