Ambassador Swanee Hunt, Director of The New Women and Public Policy Program at The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University
While serving as U.S. Ambassador to Austria in the mid 1990s, Dr. Swanee Hunt received a delegation of Bosnian women who had come to ask for her assistance in bringing peace to their troubled land. This was the beginning of Ambassador Swanee Hunts quest to establish a Women Waging Peace initiative. Invited to become the first Director of the new Women and Public Policy Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Ambassador Hunt has become the legendary leader of an impressive undertaking to train and place women all over the world into global leadership positions. Ambassador Hunt will present an exciting glimpse into her extraordinary efforts to promote global progress in issues that impact all of us.
