THE ELEPHANT IN THE LIVING ROOM
NEW CREATIVE STRATEGIES FOR A HEALTHY MEDICAL MARRIAGE

Every one knows that the elephant is there, but no one feels comfortable enough to deal with it, so the easiest reaction is to pretend that it doesn't exist and step around the formidable issues.

All of us long for practical ways to handle whatever causes stress in our lives. Many of us often handle frustrations by turning to what can become addictive behaviors such as exercise, enabling, food, substance abuse, sex, shopping, etc., when carried to excess. If not you, maybe someone you love, family member or friend, is struggling with an overwhelming situation. What can you do to help with identifying the behavior traps and offering some creative positive solutions?

Share this rare opportunity to hear a provocative expert, Hal C. Urschel III M.D. M.M.A., as he presents his new strategies to use all of the latest brain research studies to build a more informed updated approach to the major stresses in your life. He will address the special challenges posed by a medical marriage and family.

Chief of the Chemical Dependency Recovery Services at the St. Paul Medical Center in Dallas, Dr. Urschel received his M.D. and residency training in Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. In addition, he served a two year Fellowship studying at the University of Pennsylvania's famed Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. After several years of practice in the Dallas area, Dr. Urschel became a Sloan Fellow at The Stanford University Graduate School of Business where he earned a Masters of Management Administration degree. Dr. Urschel is also a graduate of The St. Mark's School of Texas and Princeton University.
