The STS Data Warehouse is gearing up for the STS Fall 2003 Adult CV Data Harvest. Here are the dates and important information you will need for submitting data.

Harvest Schedule

August 25, 2003 - Harvest begins. (First date to submit your initial data file)
September 19, 2003 - Harvest ends. (Last date for initial data file submission)
September 26, 2003 - File resubmission ends and the Data Warehouse closes.

(No resubmitted data files will be processed after this date)

Data entered under 2.35 and 2.41 specifications can be included in the same harvest file. The warehouse will review and edit the data in accordance with the active data
specification version for each procedure in the file.

When satisfied with the quality of your data as reflected on the Data Quality Report, notify the Data Warehouse to include that data file in the Fall 2003 Harvest for analysis by completing the Data Quality Report Data File Inclusion in Analysis Sign-off Form and the Hospital Name Clarification Report. The forms must be on file at the Data Warehouse to complete the harvest process. Fax the forms to the Data Warehouse at (919) 668-7074.

Data Capture Window

July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2003 (Recommended)

Data records dating back to January 1, 2000 may be submitted without any additional requirements.
Any request to submit data records prior to January 1, 2000 requires special permission. Please contact your Clinical Data Specialist for instructions.
Data records with surgery dates prior to the Earliest Surgery Date in your data file will be pulled from the data submitted during previous harvests and included in the analysis.

NOTE: All data records with a procedure date of July 1, 2002, and beyond must be submitted under version 2.41 of the specifications.

Sample Data Quality Report

Here you can find a copy of a sample Data Quality Report to help you interpret the results of your data submission. The Hospital Name Clarification Report and Analysis Sign-Off Form are included as a part of this document. They must be returned to the Data Warehouse to complete the harvest process.
