Exhibitor Advisory Committee

The Society of Thoracic Surgeons is committed to providing quality services that meet the needs of exhibitors. STS is, therefore, continually seeking advice and guidance from industry professionals. To create an environment conducive to genuine consultation and responsiveness, the Society is introducing an Exhibitor Advisory Committee (EAC).

The purpose of this Committee is to provide STS with input and feedback as further develops exhibit-focused procedures and services, delves into industry issues, and tries to better understand the challenges faced by today’s industry professionals.

Michelle Bywater

Michelle is the Senior Manager of all Global Congresses and Events for the Heart Valve Therapy Division at Edwards Lifesciences. She has more than 10 years of experience in marketing exhibit management, as well as 20 years in marketing event management. She has previously worked with companies such as Disney’s Parks and Resorts, the Angels Major League Baseball team, United Healthcare, and South Coast Plaza. Jennifer has been with Scanlan International for more than 20 years. She manages the Sales Operations team, which supports Scanlan’s worldwide distribution network, field sales, and sales initiatives. Diane G. Wicks

Diane has more than 30 years of experience in marketing and sales as owner of Nadia International, Inc., the exclusive distributor of the Ronadro’ Collection, which provides educational medical bronze sculptures to over 7,500 surgeons in 77 countries. Diane oversees the day to day operations of the company from sales and marketing to planning and attending 20 conventions a year. Barry is a qualified Event and Meeting Planner and holds a BA from William Paterson University.
Barry is no stranger to Exhibit and Event industry, having spent 22 years as an Exhibit and Event Manager with Ricoh Corporation, Operations Manager with GES and presently a Trade Show Specialist II for Maquet/Getinge Group. Barry assists his internal therapies, Surgical Work Flows, Cardio Pulmonary and Cardiac Surgery to seamlessly display the Getinge Group brands across the various levels of the medical industry focusing mainly on internal client and external vendor management.
