PQRI Information

Additional 2% Payment Available on All Medicare Claims

Cardiothoracic surgeons can receive an additional 2% bonus payment on all of their Medicare claims from January 1, 2009, through December 31, 2009, by participating in the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI). See below for helpful resources:

For 2010, participants in the STS Adult Cardiac Surgery Database will once again have the advantage of reporting PQRI data for measures #43, #44, and #45 directly to CMS through the STS National Database.

    In 2009, participants in the STS Adult Cardiac Surgery database have the advantage of reporting PQRI data for measures #43, #44, and #45 directly to CMS through the database.
