Course Description
This STS course is a series of seven on-demand and live virtual sessions that offers comprehensive training in robotic thoracic surgery. The online curriculum is led by world-renowned instructors with successful track records in robotic surgery and provides an unbiased and evidence-based review of current data surrounding robotic thoracic surgery. The sessions cover a broad spectrum of relevant topics, including starting a thoracic robotic surgery program, lobectomy, complex lung resection, segmental resection, benign and malignant foregut surgery, and mediastinal/chest wall surgery. Each session includes prerecorded lectures and narrated video demonstrations, enhanced by a live webinar featuring related faculty. The live panels also include a keynote address by a world-renowned expert, a pre-recorded case demonstration with step-by-step narration, or a brief review of a difficult case or complication. The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions during live sessions.

This online course is supported by an educational grant from Intuitive Surgical, Inc.

Course Schedule
The course will be delivered online over a 7-month period. Each monthly session will focus on a different aspect of robotic thoracic surgery and will start with an introduction by one of the course directors.

Registrants will receive an email when a session and its materials are available, so that they can self-pace through the recorded curriculum prior to the live webinar (scheduled to take place on one Saturday of each month). All of the live webinars will be recorded and added to a course archive in the STS Learning Center, so that registrants who are unable to attend a live session may view it later.
