The STS 58th Annual Meeting will bring the cardiothoracic surgery specialty together again January 29–31, 2022, in Miami Beach, Florida.
We are excited and look forward to hosting a live, in-person meeting at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Onsite sessions will be augmented by a robust virtual component that includes livestream and on-demand content that will be accessible to attendees around the globe.
The Miami Beach Convention Center has successfully achieved GBAC STAR status, which means it has been certified by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council for its "superior ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from biorisk and infectious disease situations."
Thought-provoking lectures, practice-changing science, and hands-on instruction from renowned experts—all this and more awaits you at the STS Annual Meeting. STS 2022 will offer more than 40 educational sessions, four keynote addresses, late-breaking research, 200+ electronic posters, social events, resident programs, and more!

Registration and Housing
Registering early guarantees your spot at one of the most highly anticipated cardiothoracic surgery events in the world. Register by December 2 to enjoy a discounted registration rate. STS members save even more—and Candidate and Pre-Candidate Members can register for free!
A virtual meeting is available for those who cannot travel to Miami Beach and attend in person. Select content from the 58th Annual Meeting will be live-streamed on a virtual meeting platform, and on-demand sessions and e-posters will be available throughout.
Recordings of all sessions will be available to all attendees (in-person and virtual) for 1 month on the platform, and then for an additional year as part of complimentary access to the Annual Meeting Online product. That digital product provides on-demand access to the entirety of rich content presented during the STS Annual Meeting and a subsequent opportunity to earn significantly more continuing medical education credit beyond what you can earn during the live event.
Ticketed events (Hands-On Courses and the President’s Reception) are available at an additional cost to in-person registrants.
Exclusive discounted rates are available when you reserve your hotel through the Society’s room block! Book early for the best selection at your choice of eight outstanding downtown Miami Beach hotels (some venues have a limited number of rooms).
Making your reservation through the official STS room blocks helps the Society continue to leverage the best possible pricing for its meeting attendees. Staying in the STS hotel block also may help facilitate informal connections and networking opportunities that occur at the hotels during the meeting. You must register for the Annual Meeting before you can book your housing.
Shuttle service will be provided between the convention center and all official STS hotels.
Please note: The Society has engaged Convention Management Resources (CMR) as the only approved official registration and housing provider for the STS Annual Meeting. Please be wary of any other companies ostensibly offering registration and/or housing assistance for the STS Annual Meeting. Such companies typically imply that they are working with STS, but in reality are unauthorized. Please contact the STS Meetings Department if you are contacted by anyone other than CMR.
