STS Legislative Fly-In

Event dates
Washington, DC

This past June, 24 STS Members traveled to Washington, DC, for the 2018 STS Legislative Fly-In. While there, they attended 55 meetings with Congressional staff and urged lawmakers to take action on key issues that affect cardiothoracic surgery patients. These issues included price transparency, access to claims data, and support of both the Resident Physician Shortage Reduction Act and the Women and Lung Cancer Research and Preventive Services Act.

The next STS Legislative Fly-In will take place in 2019.
