Download the STS Meetings App
The STS 55th Annual Meeting begins in just over a week, January 27-29 in San Diego! Before you go, make sure to download the STS Meetings mobile app. You’ll be able to browse the educational program, save favorite sessions/presentations to your custom itinerary, take notes during lectures, and read scientific abstracts. Printed programs will not be distributed onsite, so download the app to your mobile device now or search for “STS Meetings” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The STS Meetings app is supported by Medtronic through a branding opportunity.
Take Advantage of Free Headshots, Career Connections
One of the many benefits of attending the Annual Meeting is the chance to have a professional headshot taken for business or personal use, compliments of the Society. A photographer will be available in Booth #602 during all Exhibit Hall hours. You will be emailed a link to download your high-resolution photograph following the Annual Meeting.
While in the Exhibit Hall, don’t miss the opportunity to meet face-to-face with top employers at the STS/CTSNet Career Fair. Representatives from several companies will be available to speak with you about job openings. The Career Fair booths are located toward the back of aisles 500 and 600 in the Exhibit Hall.
Learn How to Access the STS National Database for Research
Residents interested in performing research as part of their cardiothoracic surgery careers are highly encouraged to attend the Research Using the STS National Database session at the Annual Meeting, which will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27. Speakers will explain how to use STS National Database data in research projects, cover the ins and outs of submitting data requests, and offer tips on developing a hypothesis, specific aims, and a research plan. Learn more about this session and many others in the mobile app or the STS 55th Annual Meeting Abstract Book.
