Data Managers Survey Deadline Extended
The Society is seeking data manager input on how often data are submitted, timing of data abstraction, how analysis reports are used, and more details on your organization’s participation in the STS National Database. The results of this annual survey will assist STS in developing resources for data managers, as well as understanding how STS National Database data are being used to improve quality of care. If you are a data manager and haven’t already done so, please take 5 minutes to complete this survey by Monday, August 26.

Share Free Heart Surgery Brochure With Your Patients
The Society’s patient website, ctsurgerypatients.org, provides easily understandable information on cardiothoracic diseases and how they are treated using text, videos, graphics, and animations. Recently, STS's What to Expect After Heart Surgery brochure was updated and re-designed. The brochure explains what a patient can expect to feel like and experience, as well as provides information on caring for incisions, medications, symptoms that need attention, resuming activity, and cardiac rehabilitation. Help better prepare your patients for their recovery by sharing this free resource that is available for download in both English and Spanish. If you have feedback or questions about the patient website, contact Jennifer Bagley at jbagley@sts.org.

Update Your Site Info
Make sure to update your site’s contact information via the web-based Participant Contact Form. If you have any questions, contact Kathryn Hollifield at khollifield@sts.org

Reminder
Data Quality Report exhibit verifications should be sent to Maceo Cleggett, Clinical Data Analyst from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Data Warehouse, at maceocleggett@uabmc.edu.
