November/December 2019

AQO Wrap-Up
If you weren’t able to attend the recent Advances in Quality & Outcomes: A Data Managers Meeting in New Orleans, you can access various resources from the meeting: photos are available in the Society’s flickr album and presentations, including responses to all Q&As, are accessible on the STS website

You also can view posters, such as the presentation that earned the Dorothy Latham Poster Award: “A Collaborative Approach to Improving Preoperative Beta-Blocker Therapy Compliance on CABG Patients,” by Charina Ballesteros, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, Milagros Masri, PA-C, and Leandro Dimi, RRT, CPFT, from Hackensack, New Jersey.

Congratulations to the recipient of the Sherri Ann Wissman Memorial Excellence Award. Monica Thomas received this award for demonstrating loyalty and dependability, helpfulness to fellow employees and patients, and contribution to the overall quality of life of VAD patients.
