STS Summer Series: Pulmonary Metastasectomy

Pulmonary metastasectomy is a commonly performed cancer management procedure, yet best practice remains uncertain due to a lack of controlled trials and studies. In this week’s STS Summer Series webinar, Bernard J. Park, MD, and Dirk E.M. Van Raemdonck, MD, PhD, will review an STS Expert Consensus Document on Pulmonary Metastasectomy, published in The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, and talk with a multidisciplinary panel of experts, including general thoracic surgeons, a radiation oncologist, and an interventional radiologist about:

  • Local treatment versus systemic therapy
  • Different treatment options for local control of metastatic disease
  • A shared decision-making approach to patient care
