An outstanding ventricular assist device (VAD) coordinator will be recognized and awarded the Sherri Ann Wissman Memorial Excellence Award during the 2022 Advances in Quality & Outcomes: A Data Managers Meeting, October 26-28, in Providence, Rhode Island. This award is presented in memory of longtime Intermacs VAD Coordinator Sherri Ann Wissman, who passed away in 2016.
The recipient of this award must be a VAD coordinator who demonstrates the following:
- Loyalty and dependability
- Helpfulness to fellow employees and patients
- Selflessness
- Contribution to the overall quality of life of VAD patients
