International Educational Activity Proposals  

The STS Workforce on International Education is currently seeking proposals for collaborative or STS-owned educational activities to take place in 2025-2027. The Workforce, in collaboration with the STS Council on Education Operating Board, has developed a set of near-term geographic and subspecialty priorities available, but proposals outside of those parameters are welcome.

  • Live/in-person activity proposals for 2026-2027 are submittable now until April 1, 2025, for review and approval this summer.
  • Virtual activities are reviewed and approved on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Latin Heart Rounds

This series of webinars and live activities features surgeons and other healthcare professionals from around the world discussing and debating a broad range of cardiothoracic surgery topics important and relevant to the Latin and South American community.  

 

2025 STS/EACTS/ESTS Latin America Thoracic Surgery Conference

The Brazilian Society of Thoracic Surgery (SBCT) is pleased to host this one-day post-conference symposium on May 10, 2025, as part of TÓRAX 2025 – XXIV Congress of the Brazilian Society of Thoracic Surgery. The program was developed in collaboration with SBCT, the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS), the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS), and seven other society partners from Spain and Latin and South America:

STS-EACTS @ ASCVTS 2025 Workshop

STS is collaborating with the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery (EACTS) on a one-day joint session workshop taking place at the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS), taking place May 14-17, 2025 in Singapore. Heart Valve Disease Forum 2025 
KTCVS-STS Asia Symposium on Valvular Heart Disease

STS is pleased to co-present the Heart Valve Disease Forum (HVDF) with the Korean Society for Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, offering the latest knowledge regarding the basics, diagnosis, treatment, and future of valvular heart disease. The meeting will take place September 12-13, 2025, in Seoul, Korea.
