Change of Membership Status Request - Resignation

According to STS Bylaws Article III, Section 8, "Any member may resign from the Society at any time if
 
(a) he or she has paid in full any dues, assessments or other financial obligations owing to the Society at that time, 
(b) he or she tenders a resignation request in writing to the Secretary, and 
(c) the resignation request is accepted by the Board of Directors."

Article III, Section 8 further stipulates that "the Board of Directors may choose not to accept the resignation request of a member who is the subject of a pending investigation or proceeding pursuant to Article XII of these Bylaws." Article XII pertains to STS member conduct and associated disciplinary matters.
