The goal of the 2-day virtual event was to enhance your knowledge and expertise in cardiovascular and thoracic (CVT) critical care and enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS). Delivered through an online platform, the conference offered more than 11.5 hours of accredited education and include interactive live sessions at scheduled times and recorded programs that you can watch at your convenience. New this year was a session featuring testimonials from COVID-19 survivors, who received extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) or a lung transplant, and their valuable perspectives on the long-term effects of their treatments.
The virtual conference format included short, dynamic, and interactive presentations paired with panel discussions, case-based scenarios, and original scientific abstracts. Health professionals who provide care for patients undergoing CVT operations and interventional procedures shared their knowledge. An international and interdisciplinary group of leading experts presented new and exciting concepts, technologies, management protocols, and clinical experiences in their respective disciplines. Plus, it included e-posters, special networking events, and a virtual exhibit hall.
