Your voice is more important than ever. Make plans to attend the 2026 STS Advocacy Conference. During this two-day event, held March 23-24, STS members will meet with members of Congress and their staff to help influence healthcare policy and champion causes important to CT surgeons and their patients. Attendees will receive training for their meetings and opportunities to engage with STS leadership.
A limited number of scholarships will be available for senior cardiothoracic surgery residents and early career surgeon attendees.
Attendance and scholarships are available only to STS members who reside in the United States.
Scholarships
STS is offering a limited number of scholarships for CT surgery residents, early career surgeons and qualified medical students to attend the 2026 STS Advocacy Conference on March 23-24. Scholarships will cover reasonable travel, hotel, and meal expenses (2 days/1 night).
To apply, complete the form and upload a current copy of your CV by Monday, Dec. 15, 2025. Award decisions will be communicated in early January 2026.

Housing
STS has secured a block at the Royal Sonesta Hotel (20 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC). The room rate is $409 and will be available until Monday, Feb. 24, 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis.
