A world-class, international event that will explore the latest developments and best practices in coronary artery disease, congenital heart disease, thoracic aortic disease, atrial fibrillation, and the surgical management of heart failure

The 2026 program will feature a world-class, international faculty who will address and explore the latest developments and best practices in coronary artery disease, congenital heart disease, thoracic aortic disease, atrial fibrillation, and the surgical management of heart failure. In addition to the invited lectures and keynote presentations, the program will include original scientific abstracts in oral and e-poster sessions, technical videos related to procedural expertise, trials, quality outcomes sessions, and interactive panel discussions. The final day of the conference will conclude with a program of hands-on skills workshops.

​The conference is aimed at cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiologists, anaesthesiologists, perfusionists, physician assistants, nurses, and affiliated health care professionals. 

Travel Scholarships

Cardiothoracic surgeons and cardiothoracic surgery residents from Latin America who treat underserved patients and demonstrate financial need are eligible to apply for a travel scholarship (funded by The Thoracic Surgery Foudantion) to attend the 2026 EACTS/STS/LACES Latin America Cardiovascular Surgery Conference in Santiago, Chile. Valued at $1,300, the scholarship covers full conference registration, three nights lodging in a host hotel, and expense reimbursement of eligible travel expenses.
